Axial Behavior of FRP Confined Concrete Using Locally Available Low-Cost Wraps

This study investigates the influences of three types locally available low-cost Fiber Reinforced Polymers (FRP) wraps and two concrete mix designs on axial behavior FRP confined concrete. The experimental program comprised four unconfined (control), glass Matt Strand (GFRP-MS) concrete, Rowing (GFRP-R) carbon (CFRP) specimens with a diameter 150 mm height 300 tested under compression. were prepared using normal strength designs, i.e., Mix-A Mix-B. results exhibited that an increase in per unit cost ratio single layer GFRP-MS was about times CFRP wrap, whereas GFRP-R wrap. can exhibit similar strengths as wrap six twelve lower costs, respectively, than Mix-B higher but strain specimens.
